Comparative Study on the Macroscopic and Film Finding in the Endoscopic Examination

Abstract

|
In this report, the endoscopic examination were performed in 109 cases of chronic gastritis and the macroscopic observation through the endoscopy were compared with the film findings taken by intragastric camera method. The results are as follows.
87.5 per cent of cases of superficil gastritis, 53.2 per cent of atrophic gastritis, 45.4 per cent of hypertrophic gastritis by macroscopic observation were in accordance with the film findings. Especially, much error were noted in comparison with atrophic gastritis and hypertrophic gastritis. So, on performing the endoscopic examination, the macroscopic examination must be followed by the film findings without fail.
